epikur Ambassador

Nina Brunner

Nina Brunner, personality, beach volleyball professional, Olympic medalist and epikur ambassador talks about herself, epikur and the importance of intestinal health in elite sport.

What were your greatest successes and highlights of your career?

"Our, or rather my, greatest success is certainly winning the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Paris. But I'm especially proud of the path we've taken with our entire team. When I look back at where we started and where we've ended up, I'm amazed myself. The fact that, despite some difficult moments and phases, it was mostly a lot of fun makes it all the more wonderful."

What sets you apart as a person and an athlete?

"I would say that in sports, I've often managed to pursue my goals with a certain calm and composure, but also with a lot of commitment and perseverance. As a human being, I think I tend to see the good in people and situations rather than the difficult."

How did you come to epikur?

"I came into contact with Stan many years ago, partly through friends of my parents and partly through my husband. I quickly realized that he could do things that weren't "normal" ;-). From then on, whenever I had problems for a longer period of time, I always returned to him and was fascinated by how much he was able to help with just a few simple steps and instructions. The fact that he thinks very holistically and always tries to get to the bottom of the problem appeals to me a lot. When he asked me if I would be interested in becoming an epikur ambassador, I was immediately hooked."

What are your thoughts on epikur?

"The product definitely impressed me from the first time I used it. I had been struggling with neck inflammation for a while, which was noticeably better after the treatment. It's also super convenient to take this all-in-one product once a day, eliminating the need to coordinate and take many different supplements for my gut health."

What do you think about gut health?

"I believe that gut health is extremely important for feeling good in your own body and improving your quality of life."

Where do you see the connection between intestinal health and elite sport?

"In elite sports, you strive to perform at your maximum level as often as possible. For me personally, nervousness and tension always have a strong impact on my gut, which, in addition to stomach pain, negatively impacts energy reserves and recovery. The fact that we're always traveling to different countries with different dietary cultures and hygiene standards in beach volleyball also poses a challenge for the gut."
